Description
Paradee Resort is both lavish and exclusive, with stunning villas draped over the southern tip of the island. Sharing the same owner as Le Vimarn and Ao Phrao Resort, this 5-star luxury resort opened in late 2006, replacing the easygoing backpacker haven of Ao Kiu Resort. The extravagant villas are more tropical than Thai, with thatched roofs, bamboo furnishings, and draped mosquito nets. Each villa comes with a private sun deck, and many have individual splash pools. The resort is located at Ko Samet's thinnest point, and actually stretches across to both sides -- sunset views on the west coast beach are very good, as is the snorkelling. Given the opulence of the rooms and the quality of the beach here, if money were no object, anyone might wish to stay here at least once in their lifetime. Rates are extremely high -- shop around for an internet rate.
