With its gregarious English-speaking Russian owner and intimate guest rooms branching off a cool wooden hallway, the Beach House has the air of a family vacation home.
Many of the guests are repeat visitors, which only adds to the homely feel. Rooms are simply decorated and comfortable, with TVs, fridges, desks and tinted windows that provide privacy from the shared patio perched over the sea. The room we saw was a bit musty, though not to the point that we wouldn't consider it. The beach is small, but it will do for a lounge and a dip, and at high tide the waves splash directly underneath the guesthouse. A stone's throw to the east, Baan Pra Kai Kaew has similar rooms and a boisterous German owner, though we still favour the Beach House's chilled out atmosphere.
