Description
The lovely dark-wood villas of Ao Phrao climb the tropical hillside, and offer great views over the beach. Well kitted out, some of the rooms are now a little long in the tooth, and are nowhere near as hip or stylish as some of the newer resorts on Ko Samet. This was the first of the upmarket resorts to open on this beach, and it still gets a dedicated, mostly older European custom, particularly over the holiday season, but for true luxury it has now been overshadowed by Le Vimarn at the other end of the beach. All rooms include ABF, boat transfer from pier, satellite TV, minibar and refrigerator. Be sure to ask after substantial discounts.
