Le Vimarn
Pampered luxury

What we say:
From the white umbrellas lining its turquoise pool, to its dramatic oceanfront entryway, Le Vimarn Resort and Spa sets the standard for luxury accommodation on Ko Samet. With the same owner as Ao Prao Resort, Samed Club and Paradee, Le Vimarn attracts a well-heeled weekend crew while being almost deserted on weekdays. The emphasis here is on pampering, with lavishly comfortable rooms, and a range of spa treatments available. The elegantly tropical Thai-style white bungalows are well designed, with great attention to detail. Although they appear to be on top of one another, they are actually quite private, and many have impressive views. The rooms have an airy feel, with white linens and dark finished wooden and bamboo interiors. The two in-house restaurants offer Thai and Italian cuisine — the hot chocolate souffle served with ice cream is as good as it sounds. The well-positioned horizon pool is ideally placed for a sunset float and cocktail. Le Vimarn has an attached spa, internet services and a water sports centre. They offer up to 35% discounts during off-season. Rates include tax, round-trip water transfer from Ban Phe, and daily breakfast.
