Description
The bungalows at this spacious resort come in three different tropical styles, and each has its own private bathroom and terrace. Close to the beach are the large Thai houses, built to look like traditional wooden homes; further back are the chic white oriental cabins; and scattered throughout the garden beyond those the deluxe rooms, in simple but stylish wooden bungalows. The vibrant decor in the rooms matches the varying themes of the different bungalows. This large resort is a little overpriced, but if that doesn't bother you, the rooms are clean, attractive and well maintained. The staff here are a bit rough on service , but if you spend most of your time on the beach, and eat elsewhere, that's not a problem. They offer a boat/minibus combined ticket to Bangkok twice daily for 320B.

We paid 1400B for a small room and left the next day. Don't go here. Tubtim beach is better.

We stayed there after searching a nice place on the whole East Coast of Ko Samet. The Resort offers a nice Garden where most of the bungalows are located. Also they have the cheapest restaurant on the beach which offers a good menue. We tryed other restaurants and after a while, we just eat there because it was the best we can find. The room rate is also variable. They give discount to people who stay a little bit longer. We stayed there five nights and get a big bungalow on the beach with aircon for 800 Baht (normaly they want 1200). It was not a very new one, but shurly ok for people they donīt need a lot of luxus. The rooms get cleaned every day and you get fresh towels. The only thing that wasnīt nice was the staff in the restaurant. They tryed to move as slowly as they can and sometimes they just looked in the air like they will say: Iīm not here...
If you can spend more money then we can, you can have very nice and new luxury bungalows there. I can recommend the Vongduen Resort, because we have seen some others on the East Coast before - and all of them we visit were realy ugly (for the same price).
