Mun Nork Island Resort
Almost perfect

What we say:
Mun Nork Island Resort is a gorgeous private paradise, with a mix of trendy bungalows spread out over a wide gardened area. All the bungalows are well-kept and clean, with great open-air bathrooms and large wooden decks. The best bungalows are closer to the restaurant, with the quality declining somewhat further along the beach. A major asset here are the large salas scattered along the beach with cushions and hammocks where you can easily while away an afternoon listening to the swish of the sea -- very inspired. Watch too for the peacocks parading throughout the resort. You can only stay here as a part of a package either arranged from Bangkok, or if you can find your way to their designated pier, from there. It includes full board, and while we found the food to be decent, it wasn't as amazing as the location warrants. We'll be back. Rates are per person. See their website for further details.

nice but overpriced
I really enjoyed my stay at Mun Nork Island Resort but agree that is way overpriced. The salas and hammocks around the island are fantastic and you do get a lot of privacy compared to other islands, but for $200 a night the accommodation is very basic. It does not include towels or any toiletries such as soap and the bungalows were a little worse for wear. I found the food to be ok (all meals are included in the price) but if you don't eat seafood you are limited in options and all the food tastes the same after a few days. I'm sure there are other options in Thailand for much better value.
