Description
In a garden filled with exotic fruit trees, simple wooden bungalows are offered at Elephant Garden. The friendly Scottish and Thai owners will make you feel at home, serving an occasional Sunday roast dinner and an evolving western food menu. Home produce grown in the abundant garden is used in the kitchen, and the common/living room has hammocks and cushions, a full bar, DVD movies and a playstation for whiling away the rainy season hours. A great place for long-termers, despite there being no real beach nearby.

Elephant Garden -
By Fishman ( total comments: 36  More information please ) Stayed here 12/2006
A great place in the time being up until the owners LEAVE to another location out on the pier. Wil and the staff are outstanding, this place will definitely be challenged to meet the levels of accomodation that will be left behind once sold to new ownership. Stay here only if Wil is still sitting around drinking a brew waiting for you to arrive. Otherwise it's a lost cause, go find his new guesthouse out on the docks. Noone can ever make the Elephant Garden as wonderful of a place as Wil and his family and the staff that is a part of this outstanding guesthouse. Please keep in mind that by the time your arrive new owners may have taken over. And politely find where the new location is, this is a small villlage and Wil should be not hard to find. Tell him the crazy Chang man never did care what people really think, I was just a drunk funk on the dunk of a skunk not unlike a punk in the podunk lunk of a trunk riding along before my ship got sunk by the stupidity of being drunk.

Remark Pu-Zi
Bang Bao, Ko Chang
In a quiet, private area, Remark Pu-Zi acknowledges its seaside position with a reception area made out of an old wooden fishing boat. Hippy Hut

Koh Chang Hill Resort
On the island's main road, a few hundred metres before the Bang Bao pier turnoff. Ko Chang
On the outskirts of Bang Bao, Koh Chang Hill has a hillside location, overlooking local countryside and out to the distant sea. Well-tended grounds hold wooden bungalows with smallish rooms, and there's a choice between fan bungalows without hot water and air-con rooms with hot water. The rooms are... more

Cliff View
Bang Bao, Ko Chang
Cliff View is located next to where the old Cliff Cottages used to be, and consists of a series of thatched huts overlooking the village of Bang Bao below. The rooms are faily standard and don't have much to set them apart from the crowd, but the bathrooms are nicer than most you'll find in budget... more
