Great verandas and a water slide
Ko Chang is so big, we’ve split it up into areas, select one of the below for detailed accommodation and food listings in that area. Sights and general overviews for Ko Chang as a whole can be found via the icons above. Don’t know where to start? Read an overview of Ko Chang’s different areas.
One of Ko Chang's more memorable places to stay, Koh Chang Sea Hut's string of blue octagon-shaped rooms perched directly over the sea are more "cottage" or "villa" than "hut".
Each is very spacious, with wood floors and walls to go with high ceilings that feature a neat tangle of wood rafters at the top. Many mod-cons include TV and fridge, and large windows afford great views over the west side of Ao Bang Bao. Yet the best parts are the huge private decks with two loungers, two tables and several potted plants. On one side of the wooden walkway that connects the rooms to an interesting lobby area with a high-sloped ceiling, a water slide dumps guests straight into the bay's clear swimmable water. A few kayaks are available, and some good fishing can also be enjoyed here. The vibe is relaxed and the staff member we met was friendly. Recommended for anyone seeking something comfortable and out of the ordinary.
