Decent rooms, great common area

Occupying an old fisherman's home that sits on stilts off the pier, the best part about this well-done seven-room guesthouse is its stylish restaurant, bar and lounge set on a spacious wooden deck with sofas and floor cushions overlooking the bay.
The rooms aren't too shabby either -- they're large, spotless and come with choice of shared or ensuite bathroom, both of which have hot water and rain showerheads. With rustic dark wood encompassing walls, ceilings and floors, and firm king size beds with high quality linens on chunky bamboo frames, the rooms have the feel of a log cabin. They all come with air-con, though no TVs or other extras. The ensuite room we checked out didn't have a window apart from a sky light in the bathroom, but some rooms do have swing-open wooden windows, so you might request one when booking. The staff members we encountered were relaxed and friendly, and the guesthouse has received mostly positive feedback online.
