Northern Lights
Peaceful meeting point

What we say:
A smallish guesthouse, Northern Lights is fairly peaceful, and clearly a meeting point for guests at nearby accommodation. The extensive bar area has a pool table, hammocks and a TV as well as a pretty basic western menu. Be warned it can become quite busy at night and has been known to stay open until the wee hours. Behind and to the side, a few bungalows provide accommodation in a more peaceful spot. Quiet, except for the incessant cicadas, they range in size, comfort and price. Those behind the bar are the best choice, with balconies looking out to the surrounding rubber tree plantation, serenaded by the insects.
