Stylish and intimate

Yet another intimate little boutique resort in the Haad Khai Mook area, Baan Ton Rak manages to be soothing and comfortable despite its location just north of the main road.
Six rooms are set in a couple of attached buildings around a roofed courtyard with hammocks, chill nooks and dining area. We dug the ancient Khmer-style statues, fountains and goofy housedog who likes to harass the helpless fish in their ponds. Rooms are spacious, immaculate and very comfortable, with shiny tile floors, soft beds, high quality linens and pillows, rain showers and all-new appliances in huge bathrooms, electric safes and TVs. The deluxe room is perched up in the corner and has a private terrace. Apart from the relatively long distance to the nearest beach, the only disadvantage is that you can hear the passing traffic when outside of the rooms. On the other hand, Ko Chang's biggest grocery store is right across the street.
