There's nothing terribly inspiring about Cookies, but it delivers an all-round quality beach resort experience in a central location.
More of a resort than hotel, the main building by the beach is a whopping green-and-white concrete monster with plush but characterless rooms overlooking a long and lavish infinity pool. The pool seems to get even more attention than the beach, which is also fantastic here. Corner rooms are the best option as they cost the same as the ordinary ones, but have a lot more window space. The accommodation is airy, clean and sizeable, with air-con, TV, fridge and glossy wood floors in the more expensive rooms. On the "hill side" of the road, it's four storeys of more concrete but without the pool, and so a touch cheaper. Rooms all have private balconies complete with table and chairs. The huge restaurant spills onto the beach and has a solid evening barbecue. We felt Cookies' rooms were comparable to those at nearby Mac Resort, which has higher rates and a much smaller pool.
