What we say:

Ban Pu Resort has frontage on both the beach and the main street, with an attractive beachside swimming pool and terrace restaurant. Lovely rooms are not huge, and a little dark, with balconies looking into a well-maintained tropical garden. Air-con, they have satellite TV, a phone, fridge, minibar, and safety box. The attractive bathroom is nicely tiled in translucent green and fitted with western amenities. Toiletries are supplied. Deluxe rooms are bungalow-style rather than hotel, a little larger than their superior counterparts, and closer to the beach. There's a distinct Swiss family Robinson vibe going on here, very tropical, with the bungalows made of wood and with thatched roofs. Very Thailand. If you want the real culture thing, this will put you in the mood. Careful in the sea in front however as there's quite a few boulders in the shallows, prime toe-stubbing material.
