Set on what was formerly the last empty stretch of White Sand beach, Rock Sand boasts a popular restaurant and numerous room types stretching above an imposing stone and cement seawall that meets the sand (hence the name, we reckon).
Rooms are set in a few connected buildings that make the most of what space they have -- especially when compared to the very spread out White Sand Resort next door. Charming in a family beach house sort of way, the rooms are well equipped; most have flatscreen TVs and fridges, and even some of the cheap fan editions have safes. Some feature tile floors and woven bamboo walls while others have pastel blue and white paint jobs to go with rattan furniture and beach-inspired art. Most have several windows and shared verandas with sea views. Families are well taken care of with a few affordable and spacious rooms to choose from. The resort has a good reputation; it's wise to book ahead in high season.
