At the very northern end of Kai Bae, before the entrance to KC Cliff Beach is the unmistakeable, bright orange painted, Mai Pen Lai Guesthouse. They have about a dozen decent rooms stacked on two floors; and while they lack beachfront or any great views they do have a certain charm. Polished wooden floors, exposed brickwork in the bathroom and huge glass windows complemented by a TV, mini fridge and air-con come together for a bargain at 700B. The location on the cusp of Kai Bae and Khlong Prao makes for a good location if you like to move about a lot, but not great if you like to be directly by the beach. Twin rooms and double rooms available. Run by the same people as Tiger Hut in Khlong Prao.
