A lush retreat on the main street
Ko Chang is so big, we’ve split it up into areas, select one of the below for detailed accommodation and food listings in that area. Sights and general overviews for Ko Chang as a whole can be found via the icons above. Don’t know where to start? Read an overview of Ko Chang’s different areas.
Run by a laid back and personable Dutch guy and a similarly laid back Thai staff, Garden Resort is an intimate spot with 20 smart villas set around tropical foliage and a salt-water swimming pool that's reputed to be the deepest on Ko Chang.
With thatch covering solid roofs for a touch of the tropical-exotic, spacious and spotless villas have comfy beds set on bamboo frames, shiny tile floors, glass doors opening onto large patios and all of the creature comforts you'd expect at these prices, including flatscreen TVs. Bathrooms feature funky bamboo pipe showers and basin sinks. If the flatscreens are too small, the resort plays movies over a projector in the in-house "cinema" located in the lobby/cafe where complimentary breakfast is served. Free WiFi works well throughout the resort. Located on the inland side of the road near many of the best restaurants in Kai Bae, the serene setting and great service makes up for a five-minute walk to the beach. Prices drop by 50% in the rainiest months and 30% during shoulder seasons.
