Complete with a pool table and small internet corner, the French run La Villa is probably the best option in Kai Bae if you're after budget. A dozen rooms are housed in three buildings which are built around a rather barren patch of grass, each with a small private bathroom which has hot water shower. Rooms are new and clean, if not a little hot due to lack of shade. Breakfast is available, as are drinks, but not main meals. The guest house is around 60 metres up a small lane on the non-beach side of the road, opposite the entrance to Coral resort. At the entrance is a small area for parking cars and motorbikes.
