At the northern end of Kai Bae opposite the 7-eleven is the humble Baan Bo, a cluster of cement and stone rooms built around an indoor courtyard. The rooms are what you expect for the price -- basic and pretty small. However they are freshly painted and have comfy beds with good sheets and towels. Bathrooms are en-suite and feature a cute pebble decor. There are some smaller rooms which share a bathroom, but they are miniscule; picture an elevator with a mattress. The whole place is spotlessly clean, always a good sign, and they have a decent restaurant out front as well which serves pizza, sushi, steaks and Thai food, as well as breakfasts. There's also a comprehensive booking service for all the island activities. The only drawback may be the heat during warmer nights, as there doesn't seem to be huge amount of ventilation here.
