Barali Beach Resort

Gorgeous rooms with luxurious bathrooms

What we say: 4 stars

The rooms at Barali are among the best in Ko Chang, and the grounds are stunningly well-looked after, with exquisite palms and tropical trees bordering manicured paths, and elaborate water features adding that liquid calmness; Very Zen, very chic. Generously proportioned, attractive rooms are fully equipped, but lack any real impact . The stunning bathrooms are made of creamy yellow marble with the sunken sandstone bath inlaid in the ground and the shower falling from vertically overhead. The whole lot is inset with a private indoor garden, giving an open air feel to it. It's a stunning concept, just a shame they didn't put as much energy into the rooms as the did the bathrooms. Down by the beachfront there's a small restaurant and pool, and the small Spa connected looks great. All rates include breakfast. The resort is a little overpriced, particularly extras such as laundry, but is undoubtedly exclusive, tranquil, and classy. The staff here also seemed extremely professional and courteous.
