Coconut Beach Resort
Lavish yet rustic charm

What we say:
Coconut Beach could be accused of going a little over the top, but they're in the business of resorts so why not. Lavish and beautiful architecture seems to combine traditional Thai and Balinese design with perhaps a twist of Mayan or Aztec. Sounds like good cocktail! Anyhow, the rooms are not as flamboyant as the exterior, but they do have quality beds and sturdy bathrooms, and a fair bit of wall decor and silk sheets - good value for the price, if a touch gaudy. Rooms are either bungalow style or double terraced houses The good news is that the cheaper suite is a classier option than the 2 bed double. The resort is around 100 metres from the beach along a windy lane, and there are plenty of small bars and eateries in this area.
