Nestled along the estuary within sight of a phenomenal beach, Aana is one of the most stylish and soothing resorts on Ko Chang.
It also happens to be one of the most affordable, with good deals on luxury accommodation. All rooms successfully aim for a Japanese-inspired minimalist style, with soft wood, bamboo and white cotton features. Soft beds with high quality linens are placed on understated wood frames and draped in mosquito nets, with soft lamps, silk pillows and tall windows rounding out the design. The cheaper rooms located in a three-storey hotel block at the rear of the grounds are acceptable, but the circular villas perched high above the ground and engulfed in tropical greenery are among the more romantic rooms on the island. These have huge decks that afford sea views, and some come with plunge pools and private open-air jacuzzis. The grounds have the feel of a tropical village, with wood walkways winding through thick foliage, though the swimming pool appeared to be in need of some upkeep. The resort offers a tranquil spa area, fitness room, internet room, kayaks, free boat service to and from the beach every 30 minutes, and a lovely open-air restaurant perched over the estuary.
