The Dewa Koh Chang
Stunning but slightly sombre new resort

What we say:
The Dewa is a newly built hotel which was possibly designed by the same team behind Aana Resort as it has many of the same quality touches and effects. A blend of rustic Thai charm with modern furnishings and design make this resort certainly stand out from the crowd. It boasts a huge swimming pool made of black tiles, a spa, cafe, restaurant and activity centre, so there's plenty to keep you occupied. Rooms are not cheap but are extremely well appointed, awesome views complemented by fine silks and comfortable beds. Suites have spacious lounge area with home entertainment system and are built over two stories. The whole place oozes class, and should certainly be put on the shortlist. However with a black pool and lots of slate coloured roofs of the rooms the energy will be a little melancholy for those who prefer the vibrant life; in which case you're better off with Tropicana or Paradise Resort. If you're seeking subtle sophistication with a mild pinch of gothic then you need look no further.
