Get away from it all
Ko Chang is so big, we’ve split it up into areas, select one of the below for detailed accommodation and food listings in that area. Sights and general overviews for Ko Chang as a whole can be found via the icons above. Don’t know where to start? Read an overview of Ko Chang’s different areas.
Just north of Khlong Son village lies Siam Royal View, an upscale Swiss-managed housing development with a string of tastefully done two-storey homes facing the quiet, scenic beach of Chang Noi Bay.
Long-term residents own most of the houses, but one French group runs the intimate Little Sunshine Resort here. Staying in a modern housing development might not sound too appealing, but this truly is a lovely spot. Abundant palms shade the expansive beach, and the calm, sheltered bay is the perfect place for children to play. Along with a decent swimming pool, cafe and Thai massage area, orchids dot the well-groomed grounds. Rooms are set in a few of the houses, with three styles available. The cheapest are upstairs in an atmospheric space with high arched gabled roof, excellent craftsmanship in the dark wood trim and furnishings, tasteful Thai art, very comfy queen-size bed, air-con, widescreen LCD TV, fridge, safe, desk, beautiful bathroom, wall-size windows and spacious veranda with sea views. More cash bags you a one-bedroom apartment with separate living room, or an entire three-bedroom house.
