Description
Like most places on Ko Kut, The Beach Natural Resort caters almost entirely to package trips booked in Bangkok. Attractive in layout and setting, the resort is in a fairly secluded area. The quiet was ruined when we visited by a huge Thai package group being egged on over a karaoke style microphone, accompanied by loud cheers and screams. Rooms were full and we were quite coldly and offhandedly dismissed by staff. Walk in customers are obviously not particularly welcome.

Stayed here alone . Far from wanting only package tourists the owners tell me they are wanting more independent travellers - in fact I am not sure they do packages any more. The gardens of the resort are beautifully maintained, and although I stayed in the cheapest room available it was very pleasant. The prices is, however, not cheap. I was a bit dissappointed that the resort has only a small beach except at low tide, but one can easily walk along to the beach of the Siam Beach resort a couple of minutes away though in practice it was fine swimming from the resort. The staff, from the owner/manager to the most junior were delightful and helpful, and almost all spoke some English, and some spoke excellent English. I was worried that the resort was too cut off from the rest of the island when I arrived, but found it possible to walk through unspoiled forest to other beaches of this wonderful island. Had an impromptu motorbike tour from one of the staff. Heaven.
Most friendly staff we met in Thailand - ![]()

The resort had very relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. The manager and the main receptionist woman were just fantastic. The place is not a package tour resort any longer as indicated in the description on this web site. We were wery welcomed when we arrived to this place even though we had no booking in peak season (between Christmas and New Year).

Bai Kood Shambala Resort
Ko Kut
High on a well mown hill, bungalows at Shambala all face out towards the picturesque vista of a small lagoon, separated from the sea by a long white beach. Package tourists gambol on the grass, and frolic in kayaks on the lagoon. Four room styles are offered, funky tiny little bathroomless huts to... more
Koh Kood Cabana
Ko Kut
Definitely very popular with the package tourists, and packed to the rafters with a Thai convention when we visited, this is probably not the kind of place an independent traveller will have much luck with. The grounds however are large, pleasant and casual, with plenty of beach frontage. Bungalows... more
