Doy Guesthouse and Sea Food
Basic old rooms in fishing environment

What we say:
One of a group of guesthouses just by the estuary in Khlong Chao, this guesthouse/restaurant resembles some of the homestay operations in Ko Chang's Salakphet village. There are a few small, grotty rooms in the main building, basically consisting of a mattress on the floor and a window covered up with an old rag. You get there by crossing a series of boardwalks over the fringes of the mangrove forest that lines the sides of the estuary. (it's right beside the bridge on the side nearest the sea). What you miss out on with the rooms however can be made up by interaction with the family here; they're active fishermen and go out daily, and they invite you to join their trips or organise your own fishing trip. They have snorkelling equipment available also, and there's never a shortage of boats. There's a riverfront restaurant which can get busy by night and it's definitely one of the most affordable places to have a seafood dinner. Motorbikes and Quads can be rented here also.
