Baan Pai
A cheap choice

What we say:
Baan Pai is a small, barely-English-speaking Thai family operation set well back from the beach at Khlong Chao behind Khlong Chao Sea View. There's four rooms which have been recently constructed as their predecessors were sparse and very old. It's a good, cheap choice of you can't find anywhere else to rest your head. Bathrooms have had a revamp but are still quite basic, but they seemed clean at least. The family run a small restaurant on a platform overlooking the mangrove forest and river estuary where decent Isaan food can be had; check out the BBQ chicken and sticky rice!. A good location for active people as it is located on the riverside, 100m to the beach, and only a half a kilometre to the trails for the waterfall and fireflies.

fantastic find
This place has now changed its name to Cozy House and was the nicest place we have stayed in the whole of Thailand. There are now a number of double rooms with shared bathrooms (200bt) as well as 4 or 5 huts (450 fan or 700 aircon i think). The first night is free, or half price if staying in the huts, even if you only stay one night! And there is free internet, tea and coffee. The rooms are clean and the food is really good. The location is great, only 5 minutes to a stunning beach, the main waterfall is an easy bike ride, or a hot walk away and at the back you can sit out with views over the river. The best thing about cozy house was the staff, they are very honest and hard working and would put on bbqs for the guest and make traditional thai food for that wasnt on the menu. We didnt want to leave and would definatly recommend

True
Well it was my friend not me who stayed and he says this review is true. Good location. He rented a small motor boat and explored up and down from this central location.
