Description
This is a new player that opened late 2005 with a mixture of simple and luxury bungalows. The thatched Bali style bungalows are pretty pricey and the larger, African style huts aren't that much better value. Despite this, the staff are incredibly funny and helpful and the restaurant is set way up on a hill with decent sea views. Kooh Mak Buri Hut has the potential to be successful by appealing to the package tourism market, but the prices are just too steep to attract many independent travellers. As the business is new, the low-season prices aren't clear, but always ask for a discount. A swimming pool improves the value, as does WiFi internet.
