Romantic and remote
As Ko Maak's most remote place to stay, Little Moon is perfect for those seeking a quiet and romantic getaway.
Set back from the sea under abundant trees, the tastefully done white villas blend large porches, wall-size glass doors, polished concrete, soft lighting and hardwood furnishings with rattan, thatch and stained glass touches. Soft beds are adorned with high quality linens and olive green silk pillows -- very romantic indeed. The young and stylish staff makes the place more enticing by offering a selection of high quality coffee along with Thai and seafood in a contemporary-styled open-air restaurant. We also appreciated the two big and super friendly chocolate and yellow labradors that enjoy lazing around as guests give them belly rubs. Little Moon's narrow beach has a few hammocks, loungers and kayaks lying about, and we were told that it's always free of Ko Maak's notorious sandflies thanks to the slightly grainier red sand found here. If red is not your colour, the stunning white sand beach at Laem Son is an easy 10-minute walk north along a picturesque path.
