Magic Garden

Huge selection of funky huts

No pic at the moment -- Sorry!

What we say: 4 stars

Magic Garden is central to the village in Lonely Beach, with the huts spread out over a large chunk of land just above Paradise resort, and therefore with access to the beach via Paradise. The bungalows aren't sea view, but they make up for it with flair in design. The cheaper huts are more standard but the higher priced ones are two storey affairs, with bamboo walls and straw roof's -- not unlike the jungle huts you might see in the National parks, such as Khao Sok. Up by the road front there's a large restaurant and bar which has a great lounging deck with oodles of cushions and hammocks. It's in a good location to access all the facilities of town, yet not be too far from the beach. During high season the sound of continual parties may be a hindrance, but to be honest if you think that may bother you then you're best staying well away from Lonely Beach, period.
