Located on the inland side of the main road, this relatively large budget spot has a range of well-done wooden bungalows set around a well-groomed garden.
Grassy strands from the high thatched roofs dangle from the tall, stilted rooms and mix with tropical foliage, lending the exotic feel of a Polynesian village. Some rooms have air-con and others fans, but all are quite sumptuous for the prices, with polished wood floors, high quality linens on good mattresses, mosquito nets, small TVs and flush white walls balanced by soft wood trim that zigzags into the high ceilings. Each room also has a large front porch to go with a basic hot water bathroom. The staff member who showed us around was polite, laid back and friendly, and the large restaurant is a great place to kick back with a beer. Directly across the street, Jungle Garden has six fan bungalows that appear to have been built by the same people as they're almost identical inside, and they go for the same rates as their twins over at the larger Tarzan Island.
