What we say:

Island View is a truly unique resort in that it is located in the middle of the bay, surrounded by water! It’s accessed by a long pier which can be found a few hundred metres further down the water front path from Salakphet Seafood. This should alert fishing lovers as you can literally cast out from your balcony into the water. The German owner of this on-the-water resort put the emphasis on active holidays -- yachting, diving and kayaking are all popular pastimes for guests. Rooms are of a high standard and all have full-length glass windows that look out over the islands in Salakphet Bay. The beds are relatively new and the bathrooms nicely done, with sea shell framed mirrors and hot water in the showers. Balconies are shared, and come with comfy deck chairs. There are two types of room though the only difference is in size, and there is hardly much difference.

Great Place

Myself and my partner planned on staying here 3 nights in december 08, in the end we stayed for 9 nights. The owners are very frinedly and helpful. Most of the other guest seemed to stay longer as well. There are plenty of activities, the food is great, and there is a fantastic SPA nearby if you want to be pampered and all the rest. did I mention the food is great? One of the great things we found is that the other guests were all like minded and everyone mixed really well. We made some great frindships which I am sure will last. I will go out of my way to stay here again. Patrick (ireland)
