Koh Chang Eco Resort

A charming modern homestay

No pic at the moment -- Sorry!

What we say: 3.5 stars

This newly conceived venture blends the luxuries and comforts of a hotel with the atmosphere and welcome of a homestay. Sixteen large rooms feature air-con, TV, crisp white sheets and a shiny hardwood floor. Bathrooms are tiles neatly and feature a hot water shower. The rooms are spread around a huge wooden house which fronts onto a small estuary of the bay, complete with a large decking where thewy serve drinks and light meals. The location limits the panoramic enormity of views found at other spots, but as you're in a working village it's an ideal location to see fishermen working nearby on their colourful boats, with plenty of water side paths to explore. The company who runs this are well organised and can help book elephant treks, snorkelling trips, or perhaps a walk through the jungle to the waterfall. Rates include a basic breakfast of coffee and toast. Worth looking at are the monthly rates, very competitive for such a luxurious place.
