Trat Guesthouse
Quiet and pleasant, if basic

What we say:
In a quiet laneway just off the main street, Trat Guesthouse is a lovely wooden Thai style house which has been well looked after particularly compared to others in town. Rooms are basic and quite dark with shared bathroom and hot shower. Although there's a sitting area set up with tables and chairs restaurant style, they do not serve food, though you can eat food that has been ordered from outside. Drinks however are available. Unfortunately there was a huge fire in May 2008 which partially damaged the back of the guest house, but renovations did follow. The friendly family who run this place are a motivated bunch, and this remains a god budget choice in town.

Clean, Friendly, Good Atmosphere
I stayed with Mr. Tjaa when he first opened his guest house. He's done a good job maintaining and improving the place, though the nice garden out front seems to have been forgotten, unfortunately. As mentioned, he goes above and beyond in his efforts to help when help is needed, and to make guests as comfortable as possible. The house is lovely and like most places in town, within walking distance to the markets.

Friendliest guesthouse in town!
I have stayed many times at this quiet guesthouse, which is one of the oldest in town. It is very nice decorated and the owner mr.Tjaa is the most helpful person in town. He will do everything to please his friends and customers. Mr. Tjaa has a lot of love for nature as well. He also owns a few bungalows in Koh Chang located in a still forgotten bay far away from all the tourists. So if you enjoy nature and peacefulness this is the place to be.
