Sawaddee Guesthouse
A little pricier but still basic

What we say:
Above an internet cafe, Sawaddee Guesthouse has a handful of small, clean rooms all with shared bathroom. The shiny, polished wood of the floorboards and walls is very well maintained, and there are some nice touches, including clean white sheets and mosquito nets. It works out at 100B/person whichever way you do it, as they have single, double, twin or triple rooms, which is about as cheap as you’ll find in the area. The internet downstairs has a good connection at 2B/minute and next door is Orchid Bar where you can procure a beer or a snack.

When I stayed, I was the only guest. I woke up in the middle of the night to find the owner of the guesthouse in my room, in his underwear, crouching on my bed, watching me sleep. He bolted from the room as soon as he realized I had woken up, but it was a violating experience regardless.
