Piman Garden
Good flashpacker value

What we say:
Some of the most pleasing mid-range rooms in Khon Kaen are at the Piman Garden, making it one that is certainly worth checking out. Conveniently located and yet just the perfect distance back from the traffic down a small side road, its attractive garden setting is a sign of good things to come. This place does a nice job of straddling the divide between hotel and guest house, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of smaller places, but with rooms that boast hotel features like free WiFi, TV, mini-bar, telephone and in-room safe. Rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable with large windows, though there was a little too much dark wood for our liking — bathrooms, on the other hand, are modern, chic and brightly tiled. Most rooms have a balcony or small garden area. Though generally very pleasant, staff can sometimes be a little hit-and-miss with the more subtle elements of service, like showing you to your room rather than leaving you to ask for directions along the way.
