Grand Hotel
Friendly

What we say:
The long-running Grand Hotel is a pretty friendly place, not all that far at all from the river. The very chatty staff may be a little bemused when you go to check-in, but the rooms, while not outstanding are reasonable value, clean and comfortable. This is a better option than the nearby First Hotel.

Many rooms are refurbished, good value
They are working hard to refurbish the old rooms at this hotel. They still have some older rooms for 200 baht, but for 360 baht, you can get AC, color TV, hot water in newly redone room. Friendly staff, near the river and clean room. Pretty good value. I'd stay again.

Just Okay
Well it is a hotel, it does have a bed but that's about it. We had to call the room maid as the sheets were clearly unchanged. I have to say there was no ill feeling and the change completed with a smile. The bathroom is dirty and smells of urine. But what can you expect for 350 baht for the night!

Not bad!
Stayed here after a 12 hour bus ride and though not the most beautiful of hotels all was clean and comfortable, and after the dreadful journey a very much needed sleep was had. Certainly deserves it's purpose!
