Description
With its high rise, glossy exterior and many amenities, the Rachaphrak Grand Hotel stands out as a reliable intermediate choice. It is centrally located and within walking distance of the city's major attractions, though on a hot day, you may want to hop on a songtheaw. Spacious rooms are tastefully decorated, though dated with vinyl furniture. Ceramic tiled bathrooms are generously sized and impeccably clean. Large windows with sweeping city views brighten things up. All rooms have air-con, fridge, carpeting, large desk, cable TV, and hot water shower/bath. Deluxe rooms are a bit bigger and include an ample dressing room, sitting area with a couch and a strange mirrored corner. Hotel amenities include a scenic pool area, two restaurants, a bar, spa services, and a gym.

Though K.S. Pavilion caters to a mostly Thai clientele, this bright, clean, and cheery spot shouldn't be overlooked. Smallish, carpeted rooms have air-con, cable TV, and fridge. Sparkling bathrooms have separate hot water shower and granite countertops, though everything is a bit crowded. A small... more
