Description
Though a ways from the centre of town, but not far from the bus station, V-One is a fun upscale choice that is worth the trek. Colourful and modern rooms include thoughtful amenities like q-tips, nail files and other toiletries you may have forgotten. All rooms have flat screen TV's and cozy duvets. The bottom of the line Silver Room, boasts a comfortable bed and enclosed shower while the next step up, Golden, adds a bathtub. The Platinum Rooms have an ample sitting area and rain shower, and a bump up to Jewellery earns you a two-room suite with a Jacuzzi bath strangely situated in the living room. Finally the decadent Diamond Room is a sleek two-room suite with Jacuzzi bath and rain shower (both in the bathroom this time), a sizeable dressing area and separate living and bedrooms each with their own TV. The hotel has two good restaurants -- one Thai fusion, the other, Chinese -- a bar, and for some real excitement, private karaoke rooms where you can sing your heart out to Celine. The pool is small and lacks the chaise lounges you'd expect. In November 2008, rates will take a substantial hike to almost twice what they are now. Rates include breakfast.
