Description
One of the newest hotels in Khorat, Turquoise House, on the outskirts of town, has spared no expense. Rooms are spacious with luxurious bathrooms unrivalled elsewhere in the city. Designed with comfort in mind, beds are plush, the carpeting soft, and the hallways quiet. Jacuzzi baths are huge, but take forever to fill and kitchenettes are a thoughtful touch but lack plates and other accoutrements to make them functional. A pool and small gym round out the amenities. Though the décor is somewhat at odds with the architecture -- there are life-size dolls in the otherwise chic lobby -- the sincere staff and the level of comfort Turquoise provides makes it easy to overlook what isn't quite working. A good choice for those looking to combine luxury with a small hotel feel, though prices are a bit steep. Rates includes breakfast.
