Not the easiest place to find, Chayada Resort is located down a small soi off Mittraphap Rd. (the soi is on the left, just before the junction with route 224 if heading east -- look for the pink-green-blue sign for Chayaba Resort off the main road). This somewhat isolated location can be a big plus, however, if peace and quiet are what you’re after, and in reality it’s only a 15 minute walk or 50B tuk tuk ride from the city centre or bus terminal 2. The resort grounds are filled with tropical plants and flowers, and it sits across the street from a small farm -- expect to hear birds chirping instead of cars honking. Sparkling clean and modern multi level townhouses with full kitchens, two bedrooms and two bathooms are available for a fraction of what the larger hotels charge for their one room suites. Located a short distance from the main resort, Chayada also runs a longhouse motel style set up with sparkling clean double rooms featuring brand new comfy beds, air-con, TV, hot water, and fridge, also with the quiet nature-garden surrounds. All prices include breakfast and WiFi is free. If you don’t mind the hike from town, Chayada offers arguably the best value in Khorat.
