Description
Strangely situated behind a tire shop in what is described as new Phimai, Phimai Inn boasts a sparkling turquoise pool and tidy rooms. Room prices fluctuate according to size, amenities and location but all have a TV, hot shower and western bathroom. Those in the older building are quite worn and dark making those in the new appear even brighter in comparison and well worth the extra baht. A poolside restaurant and bar provides some serious R&R and a book exchange ensures that you have a decent read. Non-guests can use the pool for about 30 B/day. Though about 2 km away from the city's attractions, Phimai Inn is worth considering as a well-earned respite from the heat.

Accommodation options in Phimai are woeful but that helps keep the tourist numbers down which is a plus. This hotel had okay rooms but the place stunk. Think we paid about 450B.

Old Phimai Guesthouse
214 Moo 14 Chomsuda Sadet Rd, Phimai
A bright and airy family home, The Old Phimai Guest House, is down a small soi opposite Boonsiri Guesthouse. The large common area downstairs features a cluttered shared kitchen area with facilities to make your own meals and self-service snacks and drinks, while the walls are lined with... more

Boonsiri Guest House
228 Moo 2, Jomsudasadej Rd, Phimai
In a narrow building tucked behind a fragrant noodle shop, Boonsiri Guest House is quite possibly the friendliest place in town. Pristine rooms are generous in size and all come with satellite TV and hot showers. Dorm rooms have lockers to provide peace of mind while you're out exploring the... more

Phimai Hotel
305/1-2 Moo 14 Haruethairome Rd, Phimai
Not far from the centre of town, it's hard to miss the Phimai Hotel's looming cement façade. The exterior is a little worn though the freshly painted rooms fare a bit better. Small fan rooms are very clean, and not as small as their description suggests. These have cold showers while all other... more

Phimai Paradise Apartment
100 Moo 2 Samairuchi Rd. Phimai
Newest on the accommodation scene is Phimai Paradise Apartment. As the name implies, the turquoise building is home to many, but they also rent out rooms for the night. Centrally located one street off the main, Phimai Paradise may be just that. Bright and spacious rooms feature cable TV, air-con,... more
