This is a reasonably new addition to the guesthouse scene in Nong Khai and has a very pleasant small garden out front and well sized, spotless rooms. The staff here are particularly friendly and the service comes with a smile.

Quiet Hours Prevail - 15th November, 2009
Very nice little guesthouse but also has a 9 pm quiet hour time. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from neighboring rooms. Otherwise it's clean and a nice place, yet expensive compared to other options in town.

A very pleasant place to stay - 13th March, 2009
Good value, clean and comfortable. Everyone was helpful. Nice place to chill in the leafy garden and provided hot water for our early morning cuppa. Would stay again.

Cant complain - 13th December, 2009
While Nong Khai may not be the nicest town in Thailand, Ruan Thai is a decent place to stay. Rooms are small with comfortable beds but do tend to be a bit noisy.

Good place to relax! - 23rd June, 2009
The room was clean and quiet and we could use WiFi in our room, which was very convenient. The location was also nice, near the river there were many restaurants. The family was friendly and we felt like we were at home! We recommend Ruan Thai Guesthouse!

Lovely! - 9th September, 2005
The Ruan Thai Guest House is lovely, the rooms are spotless and immaculate and look out into a little garden area with coffee shop and food. The owners are lovely and their children gave us little clay pots as presents. Friendliest place we stayed in Thailand!
