Mekong Guesthouse
Great location

What we say:
Mekong Guesthouse is located at the western end of the tourist-friendly Tha Sadej promenade, and offers great views of the river from which it derives its less than original name. Fan rooms are a step above basic, with cable TV, WiFi and private bathrooms standard in each cosily small room. The air-con rooms are a bit more ornate, with the same amenities, but with better views from the common balcony. A large restaurant on site offers midrange/expensive Thai food, and excellent views of the duly popular Mekong sunsets. Staff were a bit rough, but perhaps we caught them at a bad time … Generally this is an okay choice if money isn’t tight and convenience to the promenade is of importance.
