What we say:

The ground floor of Mama’s Place is split between a small internet cafe and souvenir shop. It seems Mama was not satisfied with her modest tourism empire, and decided to turn the second floor of her shop front property into a guesthouse. The result is a few quite basic but rather charming rooms, all ranging in size and price, but quite reasonable given the amenities. All are shared bathroom, but have cable TV and unexpectedly comfortable furniture. A few of the rooms are located directly on the street, so noise may be an issue in the mornings, but nights are generally fairly tame, and early risers probably won’t be disturbed at all. Mama herself is very sweet and speaks English well, and would most likely be delighted to see you, even if you just stop by to use the internet or buy a Nong Khai keepsake.
