What we say:

Hotels right at bus stations are usually dives that are only good when you're too tired to notice the grime on the walls, but the Majestic bucks that trend by offering some of the flashest rooms in town. The cheapest room (they call it a 'deluxe' but it's really a standard) we checked out was spacious and clean with big windows, spotless tile floor, comfortable bed, TV, free WiFi, desk, fridge and modern bathroom. Aside from a simple floral print on the white walls, the rooms are more functional than stylish. The deluxe offers more space and a sofa. The Majestic boasts extras like a large swimming pool (out back and not fronting the bus station parking lot and its army of motos and tuk tuks thank goodness), fitness centre and complimentary breakfast taken at the neighbouring Majestic Restaurant. Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, and the location is close to many good restaurants and nightclubs. This is a fine choice if you want the extras, but the rooms alone aren't much, if any better than what you'll get for less than half the price at Maneerote.
