What we say:

Centrally located at the corner of Thanasan Road and Thetsaban 1, the Sangthong will get the job done for those requiring dirt cheap digs. The woman at reception welcomed us with little more than a grunt, but the staff member who led us into the motel-style hallway set up in the back was a bit friendlier. Rooms are basic but seem to be well-kept. The air-con addition has a foam bed, small TV, old chair, rotary telephone, and windows directly facing the building next door. Bathroom is simple wet style and we did notice a little grime, although there is hot water and a Western toilet in the air-con rooms. Fan rooms are identical except they have squat toilets, cold water, and a better view of the street though also more traffic noise. Very little English is spoken and there's no WiFi, but we wouldn't expect anything more for these prices.
