River Moon Guesthouse
A shade of it's former self
Description
Unfortunately the River Moon is but a shade of its former self, with the biggest asset without doubt being two comment books that contain marathon entires on the age-old traveller vs tourist debate -- it all makes for a good read and as a bonus there is some useful travel information in there as well. The guesthouse itself needs a good hose out and clean, the beds are virtual prison issue and squeak like you couldn't imagine. All rooms have share showers and the water is almost refridgerated. The River Moon remains a friendly enough place, and it is the only guesthouse in town, so if you're after a guesthouse this is your only option.

For sure not the best place I've stayed but good enough for a night or two. The (now) 3 comment books are definitely a pleasant read before sleep. The single room is now 120B and the breakfast 80B (but you get eggs, coffee, bread w/butter+jam and fruit). To get there,catch the sawngthaew 2 or 3 from the bus station and get of after you pass the second bridge and then ask.
