The City Lodge
Simply outstanding value

What we say:
The City Lodge, conveniently located a short walk from Udon Thani train station is simply outstanding value. If you're looking for a small place to stay rather than one of the large hotels then look no further than the City Lodge. The air-con rooms here are immaculate -- kitted out with comfortable beds, TV, IDD phones and fridge and the more expensive rooms are massive. Downstairs is a very good restaurant that does splendid western breakfasts along with lunch and dinner. Staff are very friendly, helpful and English speaking. Recommended.

NEW name, Not what Travelfish promises...
True, rooms come big and friendly, BUT we had 2 rooms with our friends and similar lack of quality for the price. - Smoke stinking rooms, people smoke inside - no drinking water - colony of mosquitos *fun for our kids for hunting - AC making too much sound and dirty - nothing in the minibar, even there is a price list - all closed by 9 p.m. nothing to buy (also no water), random furniture, no personality in fact, NEW name maybe new owner? NOW called N-Dee Guesthouse GOOD> really nice people, free wireless, spacious rooms, close to town, quiet, food...

Good value
Good value budget hotel, 500B a night, clean spacious room with endless hot water and tea/coffee making facilities. One of the staff had excellent English, and all were friendly and helpful. Near all the bars and handy for the train station and the (old) bus station. No complaints about staying here.

Great room, friendly staff
Close to bus, train, night market, mall. I paid 600B for a room at top, nice views, fridge, TV, free water, windows on 2 sides, a/c. Staff were friendly, food was okay but I ate out mostly.

Comfortable rooms
Short walk from the bus station (15 mins) and close to lots of pubs and restaurants/ street stalls. Friendly staff. They quoted me 600B with breakfast at first but I bargained and got a room for 500B without breakfast. My room was HUGE and comfortable. My only gripe is that the shower drainage wasn't flowing right so my shower was soon flooded with water. Other than that, City Lodge is fabulous.

Very good value
At 500B, what can you expect? Friendly staff, really good Western breakfast. Yum yum. Walking distance to major shopping mall. I was quoted by the owner (young guy) a superior room for 700B. Staff all speak good English.
