Outdated and overpriced, but convenient

What we say:

Located on the main road through town, just before the soi that leads to Chiang Dao Cave, there is little to say about this longstanding hotel. Rooms are sizable, with big beds, air-con and fridge. A large dining room is located on the first floor, but it was unclear at the time of our visit whether or not food is regularly served here. The staff were not particularly friendly, but the woman behind the desk did speak enough English to get by. Given the relative lack of options in the centre of town, this represents a passable choice for those simply looking for a clean, convenient place to stay while passing through, but other, far better options exist at lower costs, so any stay longer than a night warrants looking elsewhere.
