This sizeable and busy guesthouse has expanded in recent years to meet growing demand, by adding a bunch of improved rooms from their initial 20 moderate but basic affairs. Facilities include lockers (for when you're out trekking) and there's a small eatery attached for basic Thai foods and fruit shakes. There's also an in-house laundry service.

Good Value Fan Rooms
My fan room at Safe House Court was reasonably spacious, with two comfortable beds and a small balcony. The location is good, just a couple of hundred meters from the Old City main drag of Ratchdamnoern Ave. The fan room cost 350. A/C rooms are 550. If you want a/c, I'd spring for another 100 baht and walk on up the road to Na Inn whose big, stylish 650 baht a/c rooms are great value. Food in the cafe was surpsingly good.
